VEGAN STRAWBERRY VANILLA PIE



Vegan Strawberry and Vanilla Pie, fresh, creamy, a Spring celebration! Inspired by seasonal products, and by the beautiful strawberries we picked in the garden. I would love some tips I learned from my own experience and research. It requires some care, such as a well-nourished soil with no weeds, frequent cleaning of older and dry leaves, daily watering on the hottest summer days and keeping the neighborhood free from snails. Good padding keeps the fruit dry and away from the soil, as direct contact tends to rot the still green strawberries. Strawberry plants cast long stems, stalks or guides, which form small roots and in contact with the earth give rise to a new plant. It is important to change strawberries every 2-4 years so they remain productive, transplantation is an effective method of expanding and renewing strawberry culture. As it is a small plant with shallow roots, it is possible to keep it in pots or flower boxes on the balcony. Hope you enjoy this seasonal and delicious pie, the base is very simple, healthy and crunchy, the filling is so creamy and flavourful, you can add any fresh fruit you like on the top.

VEGAN STRAWBERRY VANILLA PIE

(Healthy Dessert / Creamy / In season)


Crust:

150 g plain flour

50 g wholegrain flour

2 Tbsp virgin olive oil

80ml hot water

½ tbs salt

2 tbs honey


Vanilla Custard Filling:

2 cups vegetable milk

2 Tbsp corn flour

2 Tbsp coconut sugar

1 tsp vanilla powder

Method:

1. For the crust just mix everything very well, wait 20 min for the dough to cool, shape it thin, to be easy to cut. Bake in oven previously heated to 180°C for 12 minutes. 

2. For the vanilla custard filling: heat the vegetable milk with vanilla, when it boils, remove from heat, let it flavor for 20 min. In a saucepan, dissolve the flour in this milk, add sugar, let it thicken, stirring constantly, until you get a creamy consistency. 

3. Pour vanilla custard into the pie base and bake for another 20 minutes. 

4. Decorate with fresh strawberries.

TARTE DE MORANGOS E BAUNILHA

(Sobremesa Saudável / Vegana / Cremosa / Sazonal)


Base:

150 g farinha branca

50 g farinha integral

2c sopa azeite

80ml água quente

½ c chá sal

2c chá mel 


Recheio:

2 chávs leite vegetal 

2 c sopa de farinha

2 c sopa açúcar de coco

1 vagem de baunilha ou 1 c café baunilha em pó


Preparação:

1. Para perparar a base é só misturar tudo muito bem, aguardar 20 min para massa esfriar, moldar fininha, para ser fácil de cortar. Cozer a base por 12 minutos, a 180°C em forno preaquecido, 

2. Para preparar o creme de baunilha: Aquecer o leite vegetal com a vagem ou pó de baunilha e quando ferver, retirar do lume, deixar aromatizar por 20 min. Num tacho, dissolver a farinha neste leite e adicionar o açúcar de coco, deixar engrossar, mexendo sempre, até obter uma consistência cremosa. 

3. Verter o creme na base de tarte e levar ao forno por mais 20 min. 

4. Cortar osmorangos e colocar no topo.
